The Afterlife Cafe Launches Demo
A narrative game with branching storylines that encourages reflection on life by exploring death.
Guava Pixel Studios, a Black woman owned indie game studio, announced today that The Afterlife Cafe, an urban sci-fi fantasy visual novel, now has a demo available to play for free. The demo is available to play on itch.io and Steam.
This demo takes around 45 minutes to complete. Replay the demo to explore how your choices shape the story. You can meet your coworkers, chat with one of the cafe concierges, and learn about the lives of some spirits. The game also includes customizable settings like volume controls and resizable font. "Along with players enjoying the art and music, I hope there are moments in the game that really make people pause and reflect on the meaning of their own lives," shared Ugochi Ofoha, founder and creative director at Guava Pixel Studios.
