The Afterlife Cafe: Teaser Trailer and Steam Page Now Live for Urban Fantasy Visual Novel

The Afterlife Cafe, an urban fantasy visual novel about navigating life, death, and everything in between, has just unveiled its teaser trailer and Steam store page. Created by Guava Pixel Studios, the game invites players to explore cafe spaces that serve as gateways to the afterlife. In a city divided between the living and the beyond, you'll spend your days juggling work, friendships, and difficult choices. At select cafes, a special floor and a mysterious machine allow you to travel to the afterlife where you'll meet spirits, hear their stories, and slowly uncover your own path forward. Along the way, you'll build relationships with the living concierges who run these cafes and guide you through your journey.

"I wanted to create something intimate and quiet, but also emotionally layered," said the game's creator. The game is about self-discovery and cultivating bonds, mixed in with a cozy beverage-making simulation. With anime-inspired visuals and an original soundtrack, The Afterlife Cafe blends everyday realism with speculative storytelling. Players can brew drinks to match their mood, explore branching storylines with multiple endings, and immerse themselves in the potential weight of each choice they make.

Features include: The Afterlife Cafe will be available Fall 2025 on PC via Steam.
