Guava Pixel Studios is a Black-female-led indie video game studio creating interactive media that prioritizes diversity and representation. Our goal is to create amazing interactive experiences ranging from entertaining to practical to impactful. After releasing a proof of concept for a meal selection helper, titled mealtime mood, we've changed focus to video game development. Currently, we're working on our first game, a visual novel. In the future, we hope to expand to multiple genres and storytelling mechanisms. Sign up for our newsletter below to stay up to date on game development progress!

A personal note from the founder:
I've spent my career learning, teaching, and practicing software engineering. But where did it start? I went to
college to study computer science because I thought it would be cool to learn how to make video games. After
taking a few classes in computer animation and video game design, I decided to pivot to web application development
because I thought it would be a better fit. In reality, because I struggled with those classes, I didn't think I
was capable of video game development.
After graduating with my B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and fast forwarding almost 15 years later, I
know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I'm more than capable of doing anything I set my mind to.
So now, I'm fulfulling my childhood dream of making video games. Thus, Guava Pixel Studios was born! I can't wait
for you all to see what I come up with and how this journey unfolds.
